Service Description
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to class start time. Class starts at 9:00 AM. Day One - Basic Instructor Training (BIT) Day Two - Pistol Instructor Certification The total cost for the NRA BIT and NRA Pistol Instructor Certification is $300.00. You need to make a deposit of $100.00 for the system to allow you to register. The remaining balance is due on the first day of class. The deposit must be posted the day prior to the course start date. The course is non-refundable. In case you are unable to attend the course after registration you can reschedule to a future course once more. All Students must download, fill out and bring to class: Appendix 1, NRA INSTRUCTOR TRAINING PROGRAM PRE-COURSE QUESTIONAIRE. Appendix 5, The NRA INSTRUCTOR PRE-COURSE QUALIFICATION – Pistol. We will conduct the actual pre-qualification at the end of Day 1 or early on Day 2. Appendix 8: NRA INSTRUCTOR COURSE TRAINING COURSE BUDGET WORKSHEET. Appendix 9: NRA BASIC FIREARM TRAINING COURSE BUDGET WORKSHEET. Appendix 11: HOW TO INTRODUCE A SPEAKER Appendix 13: NRA INSTRUCTOR COURSE EVALUATION ABSOLUTELY NO LIVE AMMO OR FIREARMS IN THE CLASSROOM UNTIL TOLD OTHERWISE BY THE NRA TRAINING COUNSELOR. Each student will receive one (1) NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course Student Packet. Each packet contains: (1) NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook (1) NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure (1) Performance Checklist (1) NRA Marksmanship Qualification pamphlet (1) NRA Certificate of course completion Student equipment and supplies requirements; what you must bring to class: This is important. Instructor candidates must bring a laptop (recommended) or a tablet with WiFi capability All students bring a notepad, pencil, or pen, and I encourage to bring a laptop or tablet if possible At a minimum a .22LR or higher caliber pistol for the range certification and range qualification. You can qualify using a single action revolver, a double action revolver or a semi-automatic pistol. Most students qualify using a semi-auto pistol You can use IRON SIGHTS or AMMING DOT DEVICES. NO LASER MOUNTED DEVICES Allowed You need at a minimum 100 cartridges; I recommend you bring 200 rounds Head (baseball cap), eye and hearing protection is mandatory
